Molveno is reflected in the clear waters of its lake, indicated by Legambiente as one of the most beautiful ones in Italy.

It has a history that dates back to the post-ice age, when a huge landslide broke away from the mountain overlooking the valley determining its closure. With a depth of about 130m it is second only to the Lake of Garda and its waters hide an entire prehistoric forest, with evidence of settlements dating back to the Bronze Age.

Thanks to the walking path along the banks, you can enjoy every facet, discovering hidden corners leaving visitors amazed, and your eyes will fill with the colours of nature.

Into the woods on the west bank, you will find the "Forts of Napoleon", the remains of fortifications built by the Austrian Military Command in the early nineteenth century to oppose the advance of Napoleon's troops.
And for some refreshments after the climbing ... try the home-made cuisine of the hut having the same name!

Another surprise is the small lake of Nembia, a pond surrounded by majestic mountains which are reflected on the still surface with a suggestive effect.
